Castle of Troussay

The story of Troussay begins with the laying of its first stone around 1450.
Troussay is recognisez as the smallest of the Loire Castles, an artistic madness and a mosaic of ancient decorations.
The variety of elements integrated into the architecture, the wealth of furniture, the complexity is rarely gathered in a human-sized space.

Up the half of the XXth century, the small domain of Troussay lived in autarky. The Louis XXI picturesque dependances evoke the formerly "solognot" way of life. A small regional eco-meseum representing the hoise of Raboliot, the legendary "solognot" poacher has been naturally laid out as well as an exhibition on the house staff during the XIXth and XXth centuries.
