There’s nothing risky about a February vacation adventure to the châteaux of the Loire Valley. Just follow our advice!

All the major châteaux welcome you for a visit every day of the vacation season. At the Château Royal de Blois (daily at 2.30pm), you can enjoy a playful visit, or an evening visit for those who like torchlight tours (Mondays and Fridays at 7pm). At Château de Chambord, little ones will find refuge in the Logis des enfants. You can book a fun tour with the master clockmaker, or an introductory stone-cutting workshop – what a souvenir!

And let’s not forget the châteaux of Talcy and Fougères-sur-Bièvre, open every day except Tuesday. They’re often popular with children.

Entertainment in Blois

City adventure games are available all year round with Daedalus, both indoors and out.

In a different vein, the Fondation du Doute (contemporary art center) offers guided tours to help you get to grips with the thoughts of the artists on display. Comic strip fans can visit the Maison de la bd (Tuesday to Saturday).

Time permitting, book a guide to learn more about Blois’ historic districts.

IMPORTANT

The House of Magic is closed to visitors in February.
