Cycle routes in and around Blois

Adapting the historic city with its winding, climbing streets is a real challenge. It’s an adaptation that’s particularly appreciated by visitors and locals alike, who can get to the places they visit and live by bike (or any other soft means of transport).

The Loire Valley Châteaux by bike

From Blois, you can also explore the Loire Valley with the Loire à Vélo and the Sologne and Beauce regions with the 15 loops of the Châteaux de la Loire à Vélo.

Nearly 500 kilometers of paths, trails and small roads have been designed, marked out and made safe for you. From 7 to 77 years old, at your own pace and according to your own desires, you’ll be able to take the time to cycle and discover, in complete tranquillity, the prestigious sites of Chambord, Cheverny and Chaumont-sur-Loire, as well as the villages of the Loire Valley.

There are 15 loops ranging from 8 to 32 km, including a section of the Loire à Vélo. Routes with variations designed for families and widely accessible to all.

La Loire à Vélo

This exceptional route, on the banks of the Loire, crosses the destination over 60 km, alternating landscapes from one bank to the other. Much of the route is on specially prepared tracks or very low-traffic roads. Along the way, you can stop off in Loire villages, visit the Maison de la Loire or take a boat trip.
