Since 1869, the château has housed the Musée des Beaux-Arts de la ville de Blois on the second floor of the Louis XII wing, in the former royal apartments.
An innovative tour of the museum features almost 300 works: paintings, sculptures and objets d'art trace the history of European art from the 16th to the 19th century. Among them are masterpieces by Ingres, Rubens and Boucher.
