  • Of the beginning of the Resistance in the victory, how many men and women of the region fought against the Nazi occupation ? How did they lead their fight? At what price ? Their triumph is the one values which they contributed to defend and to pass on in this museum.
Inaugurated May 8th, 1995, date of birthday of the Nazi surrender, this place of memory was created on the initiative of a collective of former Resistance fighters and transported convicts. These wished to show dark years which saw the defeat of France and its occupation.

The museum also evokes the liberation of the region and the commitment of Loir-et-Chériens in front of GermansDeducted on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.
The museum of the Resistance represents a place of memory for the future generations.
