Les jardins de Blois

Blois boasts four landscaped areas with free access:
-Le jardin des lys et des simples (on the terrace near the château), designed by Gilles Clément above the underground parking lot.
Square Victor Hugo is one of the oldest, with its century-old sequoia and cedar. It faces the Renaissance wing of the château.
-Le jardin de l'évêché and its rose garden, located behind St. Louis Cathedral. Cascading fountain, pond, equestrian statue of Joan of Arc and allegory of spring. The rose garden is open from May to September.
-Saint Sauveur garden, located on the château square, on the site of a former church. An ideal spot for a picnic.
