You’ll be looking for it as soon as you arrive in Blois. Perched on a promontory, this square that used to be the castle’s forecourt has become the nerve center of tourism in Blois.
You can enter the château of course, visit the Maison de la Magie at the other end of the square, take a lunch or dinner break (before the Son et Lumière show), stroll through the St Sauveur gardens, visit the Blois Chambord-Val de Loire Tourist Office, take a carriage ride through the historic city, follow a guided tour of the town, enjoy the belvedere overlooking the town below.
The St Sauveur gardens are also a pleasant place to relax and often enjoy a picnic between two visits. The city of Blois’ Parks and Gardens department always creates sublime arrangements every season. Just imagine, here once stood the church of St Sauveur, where Joan of Arc had her standard blessed in 1429.

For a snack
The little ones will enjoy a moment of relaxation aboard this magnificent merry-go-round located in the middle of Blois castle square.
Enjoy a snack every afternoon under the avenue of lime trees, thanks to the chalets and other catering outlets. A wide range of delicacies await you: crêpes, waffles, drinks and ice creams.
