Castles are an ideal playground for *escape and puzzle games!

The Château des Enigmes in Fréteval had sensed the wind coming for several years, and was already offering an innovative family-friendly game inside its castle. Now it has added to its panoply the real Escape Game on the theme“Will you pass the entrance exam to the famous Academy of Sorcerers and Mages of Rocheux?“
For those still wondering what an Escape Game is, Château des Enigmes explains it perfectly well on its website.

At last, a game in keeping with our heritage, we must make the most of it. A recipe that works is bound to be repeated, and some Loire Valley châteaux have understood this very well. The Château Royal de Blois was the first to do so, creating a game perfectly adapted to the history of the site. In a nutshell: the year is 1588, and you discover King Henri III’s plan to assassinate the Duke of Guise.

Since then, the enigma has been renewed, and today you’ll be assisting Catherine de Médicis in her escape. In a 160m² room in the château, 6 to 13 people can take part in the investigation. Bonus: you can visit the château afterwards.

You’ll appreciate the fact that the games are electronic-free, with only your neurons working together to find the keys to the safes. The puzzle mechanics may not be obvious at first glance, but that’s exactly what makes this game a recipe for success. Variety of tricks, originality and complexity are the criteria for Escape Games fans.
