A medieval stronghold, Montpoupon was transformed into a Renaissance residence in the 15th century. Owners since 1857, the Motte Saint-Pierre family modernized the château in the 1920s, turning it into a comfortable Loire Valley residence. The château takes you into the intimacy of the owners' family through a self-guided tour of the fully furnished chateau, with sound, from the kitchens to the dining room and private apartments. In the outbuildings, you can discover the family's passion for horses and venery through the stables, saddlery, artists' paintings and Carrés Hermès.
A forest walk is available in the château grounds.
The "Solange enquête à Montpoupon" booklet has been adapted for children.
Numerous events in season: "Murder at the château" evenings, history and local produce evenings, nocturnes, Christmas ...
