FREE TOUR OF THE CHÂTEAU DE CHAUMONT-SUR-LOIRE AND THE INTERNATIONAL GARDEN FESTIVAL
At the heart of a landscaped park, the Château de Chaumont overlooks the Loire and the charming Loire village. Formerly the property of Catherine de Médicis in 1552 and of her rival Diane de Poitiers, in 1875 the Princesse de Broglie acquired it and turned it into a truly modern princely residence.
Every year, around twenty teams of landscape gardeners from all over the world create their own vision of the theme chosen by the estate. Their expression is often original and unexpected, using flowers, materials, water, trees and foliage.
